"Earth's crammed with heaven, And every common bush afire with God, But only he who sees takes off his shoes, The rest sit 'round it and pluck blackberries."

Riding Bikes with Daddy!

Our family decided to invest in a bike trailer so that Elise and Meg can join Daddy on his bike outings. Okay, so Meg can't really ride along, but we used her birthday money to purchase the trailer... so don't tell her she's not allowed to ride until she's a year old. Ellie had a great time with the whole thing even though it was freezing when Dad finally got a chance to take her.

Here's a picture of Ellie and those of us who got left behind while they went on their ride. Look Meg... your very own bike trailer! We went inside where it was warmer.

Happy Easter!!!!

Happy Easter!!! This is Ellie and Meg on Easter. Meg was in the middle of a little tantrum fit and wouldn't let anyone hold her, so instead of posing we had to line up in a row. Ellie's dress was made by my Aunt Gail on my Dad's side and Meg's dress is the same one Ellie wore on her first Easter. It was too small for Ellie when she wore it, but I liked it a lot. It ended up being the perfect size for Meg.

This is Elise when she wore the same Easter Dress. Pretty darling.

This is the dress my Grandma made for Meg for Easter. She is 97 and is still quite the sewer. She also made a dress for Ellie for Easter, but Ellie wanted to wear the jumper. I need to get a picture of the other one... maybe next Sunday. Meg's dress was a little too cold for yesterday. She looks good in yellow though!!!

This is Ellie doing her twirl in her Easter dress. And a close up of her curls. She wanted to put her "curlies" in yesterday and we ended up coming out like Shirley Temple. The ribbon was definitely necessary to not looking like we were wearing an afro. As for the bandaid, Ellie's had a scab on her nose that she would not leave alone, so we had to resort to the large bandaid nose. Everyone at Church thought something big had happened. Nope. Just a scratch.

Smile

Since Justin was home, we worked on getting Meg to smile on camera. She has a little crooked smile, but we never got the perfect one. There are some good ones though.

More Pictures

"Dad... you're scaring me..."
"Zzzzzzzzz"

"Take a picture of me!"

"I'm not so sure about this."

Joining the Club

So, since people are asking where our blog is, we'll do a little test drive and see if we can keep up with it all. Still, we're not making any promises yet...

Our family comes to four right now: Justin, Jamie, Elise, and Meg. And no, we don't have a picture of all four of us yet! I'll attach some of Meg though, since she and Ellie are the cutest of us all.

At our house we're happy Spring has come. When we finally went to the park today Ellie said... "Has Spring come to our house Mom?" Meg liked the park too. It meant Mom carried her for a whole hour!

Ellie also started ballet two weeks ago. Mom thinks it's a little early, but they needed an extra teacher on Thursdays, so off we went. Actually, it's pretty funny because Ellie spends a lot of time staring and wondering what exactly all this crazy stuff is about. She does like the part where we play Cinderella though. Meg also did ballet last night! Mom had a meeting that went longer than she thought and Meg had to stay for class. Luckily she went to sleep! That is too young!
