"Earth's crammed with heaven, And every common bush afire with God, But only he who sees takes off his shoes, The rest sit 'round it and pluck blackberries."

Christmas in Vegas

This year we headed to Vegas for Christmas to see Justin's family.  It was a busy week and a half and I was sicker than I've been in years so much of it is a blur, but the kids had a great time seeing all their grandmas and grandpas and their cousins and aunts and uncles.

Swimming with the fam:  (I didn't get in, surprise surprise.)

Christmas Pageant:

Dove and Cow:  (Grant was starting to get sick here.)

Ellie got to be Mary this year:

Meg got to be an angel:

I'm not sure what they're looking at, but these intent angels look so cute to me.

This basket had a real baby in it.  Cutest little baby ever.

Waiting to check out what Santa brought:

Parents waiting to watch their kids:

Bowling:

Piano Concert:  (Ellie wrote her own song for this one.)

Seeing our friend Kainoa:  (and, of course, his parents.)

Watching a movie at Grandma Duck's:

Week Two in SLC

The picture below was actually from Week One, but I missed it somehow.  E took the picture of me and my dance friends for me.  I think GQ thought the picture was of him... as did the Assembly Hall.  Annie has gone ahead and birthed that baby since I saw her... congrats!  I also saw Jenni/Jennie, but totally forgot to take a picture what with all our stimulating conversation about mirrors and maturation and such.

Visiting with Elisa and her Kainoa.  I cannot believe how big he has gotten.  It seems strange that I didn't meet him until now since I have gotten to hear so many great stories.  Elisa entertained my children with her apricot tree and also saved the day by loaning us a stand up bouncer for Baby S.  He loves to stand and it got a little tiring holding him straight up for a week and a half.

So, so happy to be going on a walk.  Notice the hat?  It will start looking worse and worse as the pictures continue since Baby S likes to suck on it, and it often ends up shoved under/in a purse.

Meeting Cousin Grady for the first time.  When Bekah went into labor early with Grady I was depressed and told Justin we had to eat out.  A week later I had Baby S two weeks early.  Blessings from heaven!!!

Bekah is the cool mom who actually let the kids take pictures with her camera.  My children were smitten with her, her toys, and her backyard.  M couldn't leave those raspberries alone and ate more than her fair share of green strawberries despite my best efforts.

Then we met up with my old college roommates that live in Salt Lake - Kyle and Julia.  Some cute kiddoes at that shindig.

Oh, and us too.  Too bad I don't have any digitals of the college days for you.  And too bad that getting the video of our singing marathon from Shipp 115 is definitely beyond my technological ability.  Because I am sure you really want to hear that one.  Ha.  E also took this picture.  Obviously her picture skills improved a lot after Bekah actually let her use the camera for awhile.
