"Earth's crammed with heaven, And every common bush afire with God, But only he who sees takes off his shoes, The rest sit 'round it and pluck blackberries."

Tulips?

On Tuesday E and her cousin A brought Grandma a gift.
Two beautiful bouquets of freshly picked tulips. Each of them two inches high.
Grandma may get over her vandalized garden, but we are not sure when.

Mutant M

M is our resident mutant.

I say this in the kindest way possible. But really, let's consider the evidence:

1. M has her Daddy's funny crooked toes.
2. M has her Mommy's funny looking pinky toe-nail.
3. M has red hair (technically a mutation, although hers is obviously inherited).
4. M has the funny dermatoid above her eye from the Wood side of things.
5. M has an upside down belly button which catches all sorts of liquid, including soap... which
6. interacts with her lovely skin to result in belly button rashes.

And, last, but not least, M gets sick in the car, just like her Daddy.

Which means that I get to clean throw-up out of the car, clothes, child every day before ballet.
What joy!
What rapture!

At least I have a lack of smelling capabilities, poor E spends the second half of the ride plugging her nose.

Excited for Dinner

Let's just say I ended up with some baby food on my shirt.

I thought of a real post last night, but I forgot it this morning. Justin's had a break from school and it's been very nice to be busy doing things as a family.

Paring Down

I think I'm in a minimalist phase.
Now, if only I could make it be three columns.

Night-time on the Monitor

E: Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah...

E: Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah...

E: And then, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...

E: And blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...

E: And... M? M? Are you listening? M? Oh, dang it, she's already going to sleep.

Deep breath...

E: M! Wake up!!! I'm telling you a story.

Hibernation Ahead

I was going to post, but mostly I want to go to sleep for six days. So, I think that is what I will do.

One good E moment for the road:
E(brandishing her underwear beneath Daddy's nose): Daddy, these are dirty. See, smell them.

Don't you wish you could have been there?

When I was pregnant with M, I sent Justin for ice cream.

He came back with chocolate banana. I hate fruit in desserts.

On Saturday I sent him again.

He came back with chocolate peanut butter. Which would be great, if it weren't for all those nuts. I hate nuts in desserts.

So, I'm thinking.... is this really a coincidence?

Because guess who got to eat the ice cream both times?

Hmmmm
