Copy-Cat

We have a lot of copy-cats in our house. The cutest is Ellie, who often insists she is a baby and needs to be wrapped up and cuddled. But copy-cat syndrome must be going around because I am trying to figure how to steal my friend JoLynn's old blog template. She has been sending me her creative genius, but I am not a real html linguist, so it might take a while. Anyway, that accounts for the rearranging of our blog that will be going on for the next little while. Maybe I'll get it right soon!

Snow White

This week was a crazy one at our house. Children's Ballet Theatre had their annual Spring Concert, which meant Jamie spent Tuesday through Friday evenings working backstage at Kingsbury Hall. But cutest of all... Meg got to spend her evenings there too. She was a real trooper and enjoyed smiling and talking to all the girls as we put on costumes and heads and lined up to go on stage. We only had one bad moment when Meg was supposed to eat at 6:00 and Mom forgot until 7:30, when the show finally got rolling. Most exciting of all, Meg was so exhausted by the end of the week that she didn't wake up Friday or Saturday for her night feeding. Too bad that probably won't last when we get back to our boring old evenings at home!



Above is a picture of some of the help downstairs (Kalise, Jamie, Meg, Trina, Liz, and Amy). This was the least amount of teachers we had since not everyone could make it Friday night. (This was the night Meg didn't get fed until 7:30... Mom just kept wondering why she wouldn't go to sleep... ooops). I meant to get a picture of all the girls dressed like animals and waiting in the halls, but we were too pressed for time without Trisha to keep us on schedule. Justin came the last night with Ellie and they enjoyed the show. Afterwards Elise kept insisting "I am not tired," but I think we all were! A fun week.

Twins

No, we're not pregnant. And no, we're not having twins. We already have them! Okay, so they don't look that much alike. But more than I thought they would! They are the same age in the pictures.

A Big Girl!

Ellie has now started sleeping in a big girl bed! We were going to wait until we moved, but she wanted to get in the big bed last weekend, so Justin set it up for her. So far she is very good about staying in it unless we come and get her out, but we're waiting for that to end any day. Justin's work buddy Jason has a two year old boy who just switched over too, and apparently they often find him awake at two in the morning, happily playing with his toys. Don't tell Ellie!

It's a bird...it's a plane...no, it's Superbaby!

It's our very own Clark Kent, right down to the baby blues. Okay, so not really. After all, she is a girl. But every time I wrap her in her blue towell after tubby time it reminds me of that scene in Superman where they find Kal-El in his spaceship. And boy does it make her eyes look blue. Still, I think we'll keep her here on Earth. Krypton will just have to do without!

I Love My Big Sister

Doesn't Meg look tickled pink? She is so happy to have big sister holding her that she doesn't even care it's taking a while to get dinner. Okay, so maybe Daddy would say the grin is for him, but either way... that's one happy little girl.

The Long Awaited Pajama Dress!

Ellie has been wishing and hoping that someday she would have a beautiful pajama dress to wear to bed. On Sundays, she always asks if she can wear her dress to bed. So, finally, Mom found one that wasn't too expensive... and she's been wearing it ever since. Isn't it gorgeous? It even came with "glass slippers"!!! Of course, it's not quite warm enough to not wear our normal pajamas, which means the overall outfit is quite the beautiful entourage.

Riding Bikes with Daddy!

Our family decided to invest in a bike trailer so that Elise and Meg can join Daddy on his bike outings. Okay, so Meg can't really ride along, but we used her birthday money to purchase the trailer... so don't tell her she's not allowed to ride until she's a year old. Ellie had a great time with the whole thing even though it was freezing when Dad finally got a chance to take her.
