and then...
... at the end of the day, I discovered something fuchsia had melted in the dryer and all my children's clothes now have fuchsia streaks...

You had the most amazing day! Someday you'll look back and laugh...or at least have something to blackmail them with.
I had that happen to me about two years ago and found a mixture of items that got all of the melted crayon off! I'll email it to you if you want!
