Ellie always wants to do April Fool's Day jokes, and this year I remembered! I also invited the missionaries over for dinner so that we would have someone to play the jokes on. The first joke was our jello "juice." The most hilarious part was during the prayer when Spencer tried to drink his juice. After becoming very frustrated he burst out: "My juice BROKEN. My juice BROKEN." We were all giggling uncontrollably and the missionaries were thinking we were a very irreverent family. I wish I could have that moment on video. Ellie also made Brown "E's" like brownies, for dessert.
Meg lost two teeth this month. Her bottom two adult teeth had already begun to grow in and luckily Grant almost pulled them out by yanking on a toy she had in her mouth. After debating for days she finally decided to pull the first one out. So excited!
General Conference: where the boys play fighting and girls color pictures.
"Mom, I do not need a nap!"
The second tooth bites the dust:
Now that the weather is improving we have been walking to get the girls from school. That tiny speck in the distance is Spencer refusing to walk. He was investigating some ants on the ground: "my friends." Every bug is now Spencer's friend after Meg tried to scare him into coming upstairs one day by telling him a spider was going to eat him. We had to do some big repair work and now animals are all Spencer's special "friends." Who he won't leave behind once he finds them. Finally, because I was carrying Sterling in the carrier, Meg went back and got him. Now we take a stroller, which he doesn't ride in. Still, the threat of being strapped in the stroller keeps him bustling along.
I love baby feet.
Playing twister together. Justin and I bought this game and thought the kids would love it. Spencer enjoys laying across the mat and causing havoc.
The Easter Bunny in Costco:
Spencer didn't want to come out of the car at the park to play. He had fallen asleep and couldn't get awake enough to make the effort.
Mom exists:
Enjoying a box of clothes from Aunt Emily. We are so blessed to be dressed by my older sisters. Almost everything my kids wear comes from those two in hugely anticipated boxes.
Lots of kids over for dinner. We've enjoyed our babysitting group this year. We're always sad to see friends move away in the Spring.
