When E was 2 years and 1 month... she was potty-trained.
M is now 2 years and 1 month.
And is she potty-trained, you ask? No, not really. I hadn't really thought about it.
Anyway, recently I decided to investigate.
I put underwear on M. I let her run around. She did not have a problem.
Then I put her in the tub.
She pooped.
Then I took her out of the tub... obviously...
While I was cleaning up the tub, she peed on the carpet in her room.
While I went downstairs to get a rag to clean that up she yelled from the top of the stairs"
**** in a teasing voice, mind you ****
"Mommy, I poop on the floor."
Luckily, she hadn't. She was just teasing me. TEASING ME.
So no, in answer to your question, M is not potty-trained. And I have no intention of doing that for a long time.
I told Justin that is why I rent. I will get my own house, with my own carpet when all my kids are 12.
Maybe.

That's the cutest picture of M...
(I am reading a book with a character that is the perfect mix of E and M, or not so perfect. E's looks and M's attitude...)
Best of luck to you, and your floors!
WE might think about potty training Cody one day....but for now when we ask if he wants to go on his potty he says "no I'm ok mommy"
Can I tell you how much I love your blog? I laugh every time you write a new post, it is so fun to read.
I have to admit that when I look at the picture of Meg and Grant together at the side of this post, I get a little worried about Grant's safety!
The look on Meg's face in this picture is just a wee bit SCAREY!!
...NOT REALLY...
Grandma Paula
...and Grant's expression, you must admit, looks a wee bit SCARED!
...again, NOT REALLY...
Grandma Paula
hahahahahahaha "that little girl is the biggest punk ever!"
direct quote from Danny :)
What does that mean about their understanding of the whole potty training situation when they tease you by saying they did it on the floor...That is the aspect that would stick me. :)
I didn't get here in time to vote where you will go, but I vote CHICAGO!!! Mostly just cuz we would love to have you that close to where we will be. :)
I'd never thought about that. Buying a house after all the kids or pets are potty trained? Hmmmmm.
