Last night, E and M asked if they could sleep in the same bed.
Feeling like a lunatic, I agreed.
At first there were lots of giggles.
I went in and reminded them they had to actually sleep.
E said: Mom, this is fun.
About five minutes later, we heard this bulletin:
Says E: Mooooommmmm, M is kicking me. (Pause) I DO NOT want her in my bed anymore.
About an hour later, and several kicking, hair-pulling and pushing episodes later, we put M back in her crib.

In other news, this morning I went to WalMart at the crack of dawn because I could not handle going on Saturday.
The only thing not stocked was cream.
Hello, I live on cream.
They also had no checkers, and since I was not going to self-check half a month of groceries, I made the 20 or less checker do it.
I know, I am evil.
If you were at WalMart at 5:30 this morning, I sincerely apologize.
But not really.

It is supposed to snow today and tomorrow.
I think this is because I complained about Iowa being cold and snowy.
For the past two weeks, Iowa's average temperature has been 20 - 40 degrees above ours.
So, I will stop complaining and maybe the snow will stop too.

Well, M went upstairs to "help" GQ get out of his crib.
I suppose I should go check on that.
Especially since she just unplugged the monitor.

my kids always beg to sleep together. It never works. I finally put my foot down and it is not allowed anymore.
I will never know what wal-mart looks like that early - way to go!
You kids are adorable. I wish we lived closer to let them play.
We actually have been successful with sharing a bed. It's been two weeks and they haven't had any problems. I like this because there is a lot more space in the room!
Your crazy for going shopping so early, but I totally understand. Heck, I would probably join you! =)
I'm commencing to go to Walmart "sometime" today......I really don't enjoy shopping.
Michele and I slept together for YEARS!!! I STILL (from AT LEAST 46 years ago) remember drawing an imaginary line down the middle of our bed and our fighting like kittens if one of us slid a toe, finger or NOSE across the line! I ALSO remember my Dad's voice, in particular, saying "Girls! Girls! THAT IS ENOUGH!" which would, of course, send us into fits of laughter!
I hope Ellie and Meg have as much fun together as Michele and I do ALL THESE YEARS LATER!
Love,
Grandma Paula
