"Earth's crammed with heaven, And every common bush afire with God, But only he who sees takes off his shoes, The rest sit 'round it and pluck blackberries."

Insert Title Here:

E informed me the other day that she had a simple little system for determining whether it was morning or not. If the lights at Target are on, she has to go back to sleep. If they are off, she can get out of bed.

I was relating this story to Justin when I asked him:

"Do you think we could pay them to keep the lights on longer?"

E heard me from the back of the van:

"But why would you want to keep them on looooonnnnngggeeer?????"

*****

I went to make GQ his lunch.

When I came back M was feeding him out of an empty bowl with an empty play fork.

He was taking bites dutifully... hoping maybe something might be in the next forkfull.

*****

I have informed Justin that waiting to hear back from schools is like waiting for a baby to be born.

Every day you wake up and wonder: Is today the day????

And every night you go to sleep thinking: I guess not.

We are having a few braxton hicks.... we'll see if they turn into the real thing.

Haha! Love the pregnancy analogy! And oh, so true!

The pregnancy analogy is a good one, I hadn't thought of it that way before.
I'm constantly telling James finding a job is like dating. Some companies string you along for a long time, only to dump you in the end. Some companies tell you that they'll call you, so you anxiously wait by the phone wondering if it would be too forward of you to call them instead. You think of some companies like a crush on the most popular person at school...you do all you can to be noticed by them only to have a few nervous, awkward encounters with recruiters that don't pan out to anything. And then you find THE ONE. The company that is just as interested in you as you are in them. There's no waiting by the phone, there's no empty promises...everything magically falls into place. And then you wonder why you wasted your time agonizing over those others, when obviously, you've found your perfect match.
I know it's not fun, but hang in there! :)

My friend is in the same process, waiting on Med. School - two interviews so far and they just got into Arizona. Yeah - they got in! Boo - You can't teach in Utah if you live in Arizona....
Just keep waiting, maybe you'll have to stay in Utah
