"Earth's crammed with heaven, And every common bush afire with God, But only he who sees takes off his shoes, The rest sit 'round it and pluck blackberries."

Wednesday

This is a picture of my dog that I once bought when I was insane. I uploaded it to try to fix the spacing on this post, but failed. And now I can't get it to delete. Sweet. Enjoy actual post below!
This morning I had one of those moments where I decided I would be a grand blogger. The kind that takes good pictures and everything, instead of writing one sentence blurbs about traffic.

So, I got out my camera and went in to record GQ's morning. I have not set up Skype, and my mom asks for pictures, and GQ is very cute in his Emily pajamas, so I set to taking pictures.

They all came out fuzzy.

Then, GQ got irritated that I wouldn't take him out of his crib, so I took him out of his crib.

(By the way, I do not know why my spacing is completely messed up right now, and I don't know how to fix it either... so you'll all just have to deal... so sorry.)

After this, I decided to take some video of GQ talking. He says words now that only Justin and I understand like "Please," "Thank You," "Momma," "Daddy," "Doggy," and "I love you." I did get him to say it on the phone for my mom, but I thought it would be cuter in person, so I decided to film it.

Of course, this meant I had to remove his binky. (Which I didn't realize until I'd turned the camera on once.)

Which resulted in GQ acting like I'd committed full on treason. I couldn't help but film his fake sobs. And yes, I promise you, they are totally fake.

He tried to get in my pocket and steal it back. Then, he said a few words - not his best - to stay in competition with his sisters. Wouldn't them to steal the lime-light or anything.

And then he noticed another binky on the other side of the room and he threw me to the sharks. See you later mom, I have latex to suck.

In other news, I deserve several stars today (obviously none for the crummy pictures and incomplete sentence above). But, I not only have another dentist appointment, but it is at a time when Justin can make me go.

And I contained myself and didn't fix my bed all day after E made it for me. I know this may sound like a small accomplishment, but since making my bed is like straightening pens is for some people, it was a big thing. I kept walking past it, itching to pull the covers, but I refrained. Not to say my bed is beautiful when I do make it. I don't iron my pillowcases - the whole ironing thing, you know - and I don't have designer pillows, but usually it is flat.

Not so much today.

Really, not so much today.

And I didn't touch it!

****

M is up to her usual antics.

Today at naptime she ate an entire 2 inch sticker.

Wow.

Do you think it tasted good?

Because I don't.

Which means she ate it just for the heck of it.

****

At soccer today, E got hit in the stomach with the ball.

Someone on her team was passing it in from the sidelines. They passed it to her, although she didn't notice until the whole gut/ball incident.

I think the woman next to me was disturbed when I laughed. But really, it was so funny. She was just standing there, looking in the sky (probably imagining what princess dress she would wear when she got home) and suddenly - voila - the ball arrives.

Afterward, I congratulated her on not crying when it happened.

"Good job being brave," I said.

Then I said, very non-chalantly - because I can't play sports and why should I assume other people can - "You know, if you watch the ball while you're playing, you'll know where it is, and then..."

here E cut me off

"... then I can run away from it!"

Yes, this is most definitely my daughter.

Most definitely.

Oh Jamie, you ARE a grand blogger. Even with blurry pictures and all. I just love the black words you type anyway ;)

You do have a way with words ya know!

He is so cute. I want to snuggle him in his jammies. All of them actually. I like Ellie's logic with avoiding the soccer ball.
